Goal of the Game

Your objective in Super Ninja Adventure is straightforward: guide your ninja from the start of each level to the finish flag while staying alive. Along the way, you'll encounter enemies that patrol platforms, traps that spring from the environment, and gaps that require precise jumping.

Scoring System

You earn points by:

  • Defeating enemies — Each enemy type awards different point values
  • Collecting coins — Gold coins scattered throughout levels add to your score
  • Speed bonuses — Finishing a level under the par time awards a time bonus
  • Combo chains — Defeating multiple enemies without touching the ground multiplies your score

Level Progression

The game features multiple worlds, each containing several levels that increase in difficulty. The final level of each world ends with a boss encounter. Defeat the boss to unlock the next world and continue your adventure.

Core Game Mechanics

🏃

Movement & Momentum

Your ninja accelerates gradually when you hold a direction key. This momentum carries through jumps, so running before a long gap gives you the distance you need. Release the key to slow down quickly.

🦘

Double Jump

You can jump once from the ground and once more in mid-air. The double jump resets each time you land on any surface, including enemy heads. Use it to reach high platforms or adjust your trajectory mid-flight.

🗡️

Slash Attack

The slash has a short range but deals strong damage. You can attack while standing, running or jumping. Air slashes are slightly slower but can hit enemies below you. Timing is critical — attacking too early leaves you vulnerable during recovery frames.

🛡️

Crouching & Sliding

Press down while standing to crouch, which shrinks your hitbox and lets projectiles pass over you. Press down while running to perform a slide that can pass under low barriers and damage ground-level enemies.

💎

Power-Ups

Look for glowing items hidden in boxes or floating platforms. Power-ups include speed boosts (temporarily faster running), shield bubbles (absorb one hit), and magnet coins (attract nearby coins automatically).

Tips for New Players

🐢

Take It Slow

Don't rush through levels on your first attempt. Scout the area, learn enemy patterns, and figure out the safest route before going for speed.

👀

Watch Enemy Patterns

Every enemy follows a predictable route. Watch them for a cycle or two before engaging — you'll find the perfect window to attack or jump past.

💰

Collect Everything

Coins are often placed to guide you toward the optimal path. Following coin trails naturally leads you through safe jumps and secret areas.

Advanced Techniques

Once you've mastered the basics, try these techniques to shave seconds off your times.

Wall Bounce

When running toward a wall, jump just before impact. If timed correctly, your ninja bounces off the wall with a burst of upward momentum, letting you reach platforms that seem out of reach. Practice on the bamboo walls in World 1 — they're the most forgiving surface for learning this technique.

Slash Cancel

Normally, the slash attack has recovery frames that lock you in place briefly. However, if you jump at the exact frame the slash animation ends, you cancel the recovery and can immediately move. This is essential for speedruns where every fraction of a second counts.

Slide Chain

By alternating between slides and jumps rapidly, you can maintain forward momentum while keeping a low profile. This is especially useful in levels with dense projectile patterns — you stay fast and hard to hit.

Enemy Bounce Chains

When you land on an enemy's head, you gain a small upward bounce. By chaining multiple enemy bounces without touching the ground, you maintain an aerial combo that multiplies your score. Some levels are specifically designed with enemy placement that rewards this technique.

Pro Tip: Combine the wall bounce with a double jump for maximum height. Jump off the wall, then use your double jump at the peak — you'll reach platforms that were designed for later unlocks.

Gameplay Questions

Currently, the game supports Arrow Keys and WASD as built-in control schemes. Custom key remapping is not available yet, but both layouts cover all actions.

Super Ninja Adventure features over 20 levels spread across multiple themed worlds. Each world concludes with a unique boss fight.

You restart the current level from the beginning. Your overall progress (unlocked levels) is saved, so you never lose access to worlds you've already reached.

Yes! Many levels contain secret areas hidden behind breakable walls, above seemingly unreachable platforms, or beneath certain floors. Exploring thoroughly is rewarded with bonus coins and power-ups.
