Okay, so I've been playing Super Ninja Adventure for a while now, and I finally feel confident enough to share what actually works. When I first started, I kept falling off platforms and getting hit by the same enemies over and over. It was a little embarrassing. But after some trial and error — mostly error — I found a rhythm that made everything click.

This isn't a speedrun guide or some hyper-optimised walkthrough. This is just honest advice from someone who has been through the frustration and come out the other side with a decent score and a lot of fun memories. Let's get into it.

1. Learn the Jump Timing First, Everything Else Second

I know this sounds obvious, but it took me longer than I'd like to admit. Super Ninja Adventure's jump has a distinct arc — it's not floaty, it's not snappy, it's somewhere in between. The moment you press jump, your ninja commits to the full arc unless you release the button early for a short hop.

That short hop is everything. So many gaps in the early levels are designed to be crossed with a short hop, not a full jump. Pressing and holding will overshoot you into a pit. Tap the jump button quickly for small gaps and hold it for the big leaps. Practice this on the first few levels until it feels natural.

Pro Tip: On levels with moving platforms, always wait for the platform to start moving toward you before jumping. Jumping onto a platform moving away from you almost always ends badly.

2. Don't Spam the Attack Button

My first instinct was to slash everything as fast as possible. This is wrong. Each slash leaves you briefly exposed, and enemies in Super Ninja Adventure are designed to punish button mashers. Instead, watch the enemy's movement pattern for one full cycle before attacking.

Most enemies have a two-step pattern: approach, pause, then lunge. The pause is your window. Slash once or twice during the pause, then back away before the lunge. This sounds slow but it's actually much faster than mashing, because you don't spend time recovering from hits.

  • Grunt enemies: One slash, then back away immediately
  • Shield enemies: Jump over them and slash from behind
  • Fast enemies: Wait for them to overshoot you, then slash
  • Armoured enemies: Aerial slashes deal bonus damage

3. Use the Wall Jump — Seriously

A lot of players I've talked to didn't even know the wall jump existed. You can jump into a wall and then jump again to kick off it. This opens up huge sections of levels that look impassable at first glance.

To wall jump, run toward a vertical wall surface and press jump just as you make contact. Your ninja will kick off the wall and gain height. Chain two or three wall jumps to reach hidden platforms with collectibles, or to skip difficult ground sections entirely.

Once I realised this mechanic existed, my enjoyment of the game doubled. Suddenly levels that felt impossible became puzzles I wanted to figure out.

4. Collect Everything on Your First Run

I made the mistake of rushing through levels to get to the next one. Don't do that. The collectibles — the golden stars scattered through each level — give you points that unlock bonus content. More importantly, some of them are in genuinely clever hiding spots that reward exploration.

Take your time on your first run through each level. Check above every platform. Look for gaps in walls that lead to side rooms. Some of the best moments in Super Ninja Adventure are tucked away in corners that you'd completely miss if you're sprinting forward.

Pro Tip: If you see a suspiciously empty platform with no enemies and no obvious purpose, jump on it anyway. There's almost always something hidden nearby.

5. Boss Fights Have Patterns — Use Them

Every boss in Super Ninja Adventure follows a strict three-phase pattern. Phase one is slow and easy, phase two introduces a new attack, and phase three is a remixed combination of both. The mistake most players make is panicking in phase three.

Here's what I do: in my first attempt at any boss, I deliberately focus on learning the pattern rather than dealing damage. I let myself take hits just to see what moves the boss has. Then on my second attempt, I play properly. This approach cuts down on total time spent on bosses significantly.

  • Stay near the edges during phase one to give yourself room to dodge
  • In phase two, the safest position is usually the centre of the arena
  • Phase three mixes attacks randomly — react, don't predict
  • Aerial attacks almost always deal more damage to bosses

6. Mobile Controls Vs. Desktop — Know the Difference

If you're playing on mobile, the on-screen buttons work well, but there's a slight delay compared to keyboard input. Adjust your timing slightly — start your jumps and attacks about half a beat earlier than you think you need to. Once you internalise that, the mobile experience is genuinely solid.

On desktop with arrow keys or WASD, the game feels most precise. If you have both options available, I'd recommend starting on desktop to learn the mechanics, then transitioning to mobile if that's your preferred platform.

Final Thoughts

Super Ninja Adventure is one of those games that rewards patience. The levels are designed to feel fair once you understand them, but punishing if you try to brute-force your way through. Slow down, observe, and then act. That mindset will take you a long way.

Most importantly — enjoy the process. The movement in this game feels really satisfying once it clicks, and that moment when you clear a tough section cleanly is worth every failed attempt that came before it.
